Ron,

This is an excellent poem. I meant to reply to you yesterday when you wrote me, and will send you an email on the side.

I thought the last two lines were particularly gripping:

"While men of plasticine still
Know not what they do?"

It makes me think of how often, when we are stuck with our own view, we cannot understand anyone else's actions. But once we can dislodge being stuck in ourselves and start to look at why others might be doing what they are, it makes the grey areas for more complicated, and requires much more personal responsibility for our own actions thereafter.

Ron, a giant topic in a tiny space. Only thing that keeps me from hating wilfull ignorance, is the fact I have a blind spot. I can't see it for trying. Now see I've come up against the subject of your poem, and not bothered "critting" just thinking about what you said. Best kind.

Such a shame that we still have to suffer sacrifice in order to do the right thing. Politics has been so cut-throat for as long as I can remember that I sometimes wonder if Mankind, on both sides of the table, will ever wake up and smell the coffee.
