Whatever next!

Outline: Inspired by today's newspaper.
When I was a young Mum,
Because I had a car,
I ferried kids for other mums.
All over, near and far.

Later when I went to work,
To chauffeur was my mission,
Taking work mates back and forth.
To save on gas emission.

But now we hear that this must stop
On health and safety grounds.
We sign a national register
Or pay five thousand pounds!

I like the bouncy beat to this, and the neat rhyming. I smile reading it. A good little poem.

With regard to the content, I didn't see that news yet and must go and look!! It sounds disturbing, our brains may soon resemble the cotton wool the state constantly tries to smother us in...

Ha ha Shocked who would have guessed the government would come up with another bureaucratic scheme like this when we're supposed to be saving on carbon emissions
(why I don't read the papers any more).....

Despite the nerve hit on this nice rhythmn to it.

I just give up on these crazy, ill-conceived schemes!
