Clouds

Outline: Being there.
Review: Any comment welcome.
Clouds

To sit on earth and watch a cloud
and watch and watch and see it change
from elephant to castle ringed with battlements
is to know a day of serenity.

To see a cloud from high above
in all its pink and cotton wool fluffy majesty
and fall towards it at a speed
that takes your breath away at the sight of its beauty
is as though you spent one minute
with the Angels.

Hi Ron,

It's amazing how a mass of water vapour can exhibit itself. Beautiful imagery, andd an awesome photo.

Great poem Ron.

If I had written it, this line

'that takes your breath away at the sight of its beauty'

would have been just

'that takes your breath away'

But I didn't! Great pic too.

Hi Ron
I like the two perspectives - one a day of serenity, the other just a few moments so much more memorable.

Nice one Ron, enjoyed it. (you wouldn't get me out of a plane like this unless my trousers were on fire!)

Cheers folks, Cool

Scarlet,

Yeah, that feeling of total freedom, hey - the joy of breathing in and out without any worldly pressures on your mind, whether you are sat relaxing in the park or hurtling through the clouds away from the rat race of so-called 'modern life'. It is as though you are in Heaven in those moments.

Photo by Ian Chick over Kassel, Germany, Sept' 85. Left to right - Lynette, me, Matt, and Brian. Out of shot - Keith, Joe, Martin and Ian on camera linked to Lynette performing an 8-way 'Star' formation.

..............

Patrick,

Hi buddy, yeah, toyed with that line for a second in my head but didn't want the 'speed' to be the only thing to take the breath away - wanted the image of the cloud and the speed to be part of the same experience.

Thanks for dropping by. Cool

.............

Hi Looby,

So good to see your name on my work again. Cool

I have cloud-picture memories in my head that have been there for years, and fleeting moments of sheer awesomeness that are also unforgettable. I like to tell of these things.

..............

Metman,

I wouldn't advise you to jump out of a plane just because your trousers were on fire - you'll look like a flaming comet, man. Shocked Laughing If you do jump - flaming trousers or normal, not-on-fire, trousers - make sure you are wearing a rig. It's safer that way. Wink Laughing

...............

Well, thanks again, folks, glad I could take you there again. Cool

Cheers
