Elements

Outline: This one's for the nature lover in me
The mountains in their majesty
Issue clarion calls to me,
Aim high and higher than you can
Reach where there never has stood a man.

The winds sweep in with gusto
Blow away the cobwebs, hey presto
Clean is the air, clean is the earth
Waiting for great deeds to take birth.

The seas relentless in their flow
Urge me to move along and grow,
There really is nothing that can’t be done
You need to pick up the challenge and run

The summer rains that slowly fall,
Gently gently prod and call
Forget your cadence of sorrow
Work towards a better tomorrow.

Elements always help me find
Peace in the depths of my disturbed mind
The order of nature, the circle of life
Promotes harmony and sets aside strife.

Ah Piya, beautiful words and very true. If we could learn to listen more, to be less hasty, to find the natural rhythm and pace... life would be so much better.

Thank you for an uplifting read. You might enjoy a couple of mine about nature

What a beautiful poem and one of encouragement you have written, piya. So many great lines, actually, they are all great and filled with wisdom. The poem reads easily and a joy to read. Taking the elements, you spoke your truth in a gentle poignant voive for all to hear and take something away.

You need to pick up the challenge and run

Just beautiful and eloquently written/said. cheers, scarlet

Hello Piya
I particularly liked some of the half rhymes in the initial two stanzas - literal rhyme can be boring and it is good to see a bit of effort put into doing things a little differently - well done
