Anarchy in the Tory Part-ee

Outline: A re-write of the Sex Pistols classic from a Tory perspective...
Why: Fun
Review: any
ANARCHY IN THE TORY PART-EE.

Right...
Now...
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha...
I think David Cameron's just Tory lite
the whole shadow cabinet's too wet to fight
I know what I want, don't know how to get it
I wanna destroy Labour's 'jobs for the boys'
'Cause I wanna be...
A real Tory
(And get back some dignity...)

Real Tories for the U.K.
With family values, definitely
Take back our very own B.B.C.
The future's bleak in our own country
'Cause I wanna be...
A real Tory...
(It's now the only thing to be...)

The criminals take what they want
Transport's a mess, so's the N.H.S.
England's now the very place to be
if you're corrupt or you're crooked or New Labour M.P.
So I wanna be...
A real Tory...
(Bring back Tebbit and Maggie T...)

Euro laws killing off democracy
We're now the fifty first state of the U.S.A.
Once this was the U.K.
Now economic migrants get what they please
topping up their handouts from you and me
So I wanna be...
A Real Tory...
(and I revere Enoch P...)
Yeah... I wanna be...
A real Tory...
and burn the witch Cherie...
Nuke Iraq...
Destroy...

Author Explanation: I loved the original and wanted to see if I could change it and do it from a different perspective. It seems to work live as I've never had any complaints. Please read it in Johnny Rotten voice but enunciate all words plummily...

Might I suggest that you offer this piece to Boris Johnson as his Mayor of London Campaign Song?

On the bright side we now know what it's like to be one of the following:

An Australian Aboriginee
A Red Squirrel
A truly ethnic* Carib.

(Thought for today:The modern usage of the word in fact implies non-ethnic)

Thanx for the glance guys... even Brian's sarcasm.
When am I going for leader ? Now there's a thought... Sat on my bum all day with people to drive me about and a nice big pay cheque and an expense account to boot...
Seriously tho', my ex bass player and his missus gave me a magazine called 'This England' which seems to be the magazine for retired colonels... It's one step down from the moronic tendancy and reading that gave me the idea. I was going to send it in, but saner heads prevailed.

Ah - an amusing take on the good old sex pistols - a pitty Mr Rotten has sold out and they have got back together - must have needed the cash after all those reality t.v. shows - I suppose punk IS dead now - sadly.

Nah, Sorry can't go with that. Whilst I honestly believe it has in the main become a fashion statement for the young(er) members of society, the attitude or state of mind is still extant... You just have to look for it but it's there... Honest. Agree with you re Pistols however. Glad you liked it 'cos it was supposed to be amusing.

Hi there

I don't know if this is your take on the Tories or your very own opinions but either way it's spot on!
Yeah , we could all benefit from a bit more Johnny Rotten attitude at the moment!

Cheers

Phil

In answer to P.G.K's question I write as an ex-Tory (I finished after the poll tax was introduced... Weekly income £48.99 Don't pay tax. Weekly income £49.00 plus. Pay full tax ??????????? ).
Methinks that was a particularly unkind cut. I'm tempted to go green, but... I refuse to vote for the lesser of so many evils so have spoilt my ballot since. As for being my take on the Tories... I know a lot of people whose sentiments echo what is in here...
I was 'attempting' to take a musical 'sacred cow' that I love and stir it up a bit with a little satire... The juxtapositioning of the Sex Pistols punk ethic with Tory sentiments ? It works fine on stage, and to be honest that is all that mattered to me and I totally agree that a bit more 'rotten' attitude would benefit all at this moment.
