Sex on Sunday morning

Outline: Thought for the Day
“Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
We pause an instant in our love-making
To consider this uncompromising directive.
Then, turning off the radio alarm
We continue.

A very well captured moment, perfectly paced. I wonder if it would have had even more effect if the you had used the outline as the title and called it Thought for the Day.

Evading 'the issue' and living for the moment. This stirs up all kinds of questions about right and wrong, honesty and deceit, etc, if we want it too. Or we can evade the issue and see it as a moment lived, conscience-free. I suspect you intended the ambiguity. Or maybe it's just me Smile

Good to see I'm not the only one who listens to Ten Commandments FM on sunday mornings hmm, at least there isn't a 'Thou shalt not have another lie in' commandment or I'd be doomed. That said, the rules are there to be broken and Church is horribly out of fashion these days. I think Roy might be right about the ambiguity.

Thanks for your comments, guys.
Yes, I did think about calling it "Thought for the Day", Finnbar: it is slightly more subtle!
And ambiguity was my aim, Roy and KJ!

Awh.. wicked, Anony!! Nothing like an easy Sunday morning, eh?

Yes, can see the startled brows, creased in conflict with the 'guilt' and then breaking a couple more commandments. Hallelujah, ye shall go to hell but have a little sin of heaven first. Listen to Strayshift!

Loved this. Bless ye!

Made me smile big time.

Talk about awkward interjections. But overcome, happily.

Thanks for that, Anony!
