I Wish I'd Written This

Oh to touch you one more time and feel the warmth of light sublime that shines within your eyes. Oh to fly you one more night on wings of synchronistic flight, where squadrons meet in Passion's Fight. Oh to smell that fragrant air that filled a heart without a care and captured me in lust's red stare when you walked in the room. Oh to taste those lips so sweet in fleeting whispers of the heat that burned inside and made complete a love lit by the Moon.

p.s. Didn't want to wake you and forsake the chance of catching one more breath of beauty sleeping.

See you tonight.

Ron

Author Explanation: I painted a picture and stuck it on the front of an A5 piece of card, put this poem on the inside, and gave it to Sandra, my ex and mother of my children, on her birthday as a way of telling her that it was all my fault for making the wrong decision years ago.

Brilliant, Ron. This is close to a nonpareil love poem. Cool
