Golden Days

Outline: A 4-Word challenge by Robb Hinge on Spiderbaby's Free Poetry site. The words were 'Autumn', 'leaves', 'smoke' and 'evening'. Why not pop over and leave a poem.
Golden Days

The golden lake reflects a day
In shimmering hues of Harvest Time
And Autumn trees begin to sway
To lay a carpet, bold, sublime

That crunches softly underfoot
In patterns of the infinite
And woodsmoke spirals gently up
To crimson sky, warm, passionate.

Hi Roy
I read this with great pleasure since it is about my favourite time of the year. And the soundtrack in my mind was, of course, David Bowie! Very Happy Very Happy

Very easy read. Comforting, warm and of the season. One to recite as Summer bows its head and waves from a distance.
Enjoyed
