Hi,

Poet/Lyricist, wannabe Columnist - for a reputable paper, hahaha. Dreamer. Realist. Autobiography writer. Fiction writer. Chatterbox. Silent Meditator. God-lover, good-Atheist lover. Helper if I can. Emotional but understanding if I can't. Open-minded.

Blending In

'Just go with the flow,'
'Blend in,' and
'Don't rock the boat.'
'Safety in numbers,' and all that
And 'Stay in line.'

Fine quotes, fine rules
When 'All is above board.'
But tell that to the dissidents
In countries killing citizens
And hear their 'Song of Woe.'

See the secret thousands -
Shackled, baffled.

See a mother crying, dying,
Waiting for some news
Of 'Disappeared' Son
Who dared to air his views.

See a so-called ‘Leader’
Bleeding the weak and frail
Living in a golden palace,
Heart filled with greed and malice,
Swiss Bank bursting with his thefts,
Leaving masses sad, bereft
Of all that’s needed to survive.

And see the graves of those who spoke.

Then ask yourself in honesty -
And given that you have a choice -
“Should I pay that Demon’s wages
Buying goods that have for ages
Caused the march of slaves
Across his land to deep-dark graves?

Or should I march on determined legs,
Conscience clear when talking fails,
To take his head in reparation
For all the dead of his sad nation?”

Quote:
If you love something let it go. If it comes back it belongs to you. If it doesn't it never did.

Maximum Minimalism

I love you not
because you pour my drink.
I love you
because you make me think.

3,000ft up on the top of El Capitan are chiseled these words - chiseled by skydivers:

Man small
Why fall
Skies call
That's all.
