About Writing Groups
You can join forces with other writers to tackle projects, such as regular detailed peer review, preparation of publications, authoring challenges or whatever helps you to develop your creative works and skills.
Setting up a Writing Group
To set up a writing group, first advertise your idea in the Talk Writing Groups forum to attract other writers. When you are ready to start work then let Chimera know and she will create a new group up for you. Once you have provided Chimera with the name of the group and a brief description of its objectives, she will activate the group with you as its owner. Your group will then appear in the list on this page and will be available for others to join.
Joining a Writing Group
If you see a group in listed on this page that you would like to join, then click on its title to find out who else is in the group and how to apply. Some groups are for all MoreWriting authors to use. The membership of others will be restricted to those who express a special interest in the subject or activity. If a group is already the right size for the activity it is undertaking then it the owner may close the membership list. In any case there will be a link to the group owner so you can write and find out more.
Taking Part in a Writing Group
Once the owner of a Writing Group has given you permission to join then a link to its discussion forum will appear in your ‘My Space’. Follow this link to take part in the private discussion forum set up for the group to use.
Leaving a Writing Group
If you wish to leave a Writing Group, first click on its title on this page to take you to the membership list. Click the Unsubscribe button.
