From Arthurian and Ron,

April is National Poetry Writing Month, or NaPoWriMo!
This is a kind of 'poetry-free-for-all', fast and loose - so those who accept the NaPoWriMo challenge must commit to writing a poem every day for the entirety of April.

The intention is not necessarily to produce a sequence of polished masterpieces and we can set ourselves challenges throughout the month - e.g. 'a Limerick day', 'a haiku day' etc, hence this being done on a discussion thread.
So what say you good people?

We'll be setting up a group for this on Monday.

29th February is traditionally the time when a woman may propose to her man. That sounds a bit drastic to me, so I propose (geddit???) you take the plunge without the commitment and leap into this competition.

To enter, just write a short story (250 -500 words) beginning ->
"Will you marry me?" she said.

We are now in the final stages of getting the book together but I am still in need of some information.

I am having problems trying to contact the following authors, as some of them haven't been on the site for while or their email address has changed but you may know them personally, they are:

Andrew Stanley
Esther Madden ~ contact made
Kelly Duthie
Lesley Hind
Sharon Yapp

If you do contact them, please ask them to PM me a 100 word biog or post in Biographies wanted . If no contact is made, the stories/poems will still be included but unfortunately, their biography will not.

I also need clarification, again some from of the above authors, on the age group their piece was intended for - the current list can be found at Stories/Poems Content by Age Group

Many thanks for any help in trying to contact these authors and finalising the remaining information. Unfortunately, I am going to have to put a deadline on this, as close of play Monday 4th Feb.
